About the Journal
The Journal of Mathematics Teacher Education in Texas (JMTET) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed online journal of the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators in Texas (AMTE-TX).
Open Access Policy
JMTET is an open-access journal in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access. JMTET uses the CC-BY 4.0 license. This license enables reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. The license allows for commercial use.

The authors retain the copyright of their papers without restrictions under the CC-BY 4.0 license.
The publisher requires that the author(s) grant the publisher the right of first publication and other non-exclusive publishing rights.
Focus and Scope
The JMTET editorial board will consider a variety of submission types, including
- Essays addressing questions related to theory and practice,
- Reviews of resources for mathematics teacher educators,
- Research summaries,
- Book reviews, and
- News articles related to mathematics teacher education.
We encourage submissions from researchers, practitioners, and graduate students that support AMTE-TX's mission to promote the improvement of mathematics teacher education in all its aspects in the state of Texas. To that end, we have three goals:
- Provide for the professional development of mathematics teacher educators at all levels;
- Facilitate communication and networking among mathematics teacher educators at the PreK-12, technical and community college, Regional Service Centers, college and university levels, and other associated teacher education organizations; and
- Encourage, promote, and support research related to mathematics teacher education.
